Once upon a time...two little girls dreamed that someday they would grow up to sing their own songs.  Brigette's path wound from Los Angeles to Michigan to Southern Humboldt County in Northern California, while Marcia's family moved across the midwest and east coast, finally settling in Chicago.  They both sang and played in lots of bands, and when Marcia moved to Southern Humboldt (fondly known to locals as SoHum), they met and started singing together.  Thus was born the sound of the SoHum Girls, a blend of voices in close harmony, with soaring guitars, thumping bass, piano, organ, splashes of other instruments and tantalizing drum rhythms.

Our songs range from cajun to country to rock to blues to folk...hard to categorize but easy to enjoy!  It's been an amazing journey for us to get to this point, so thanks for taking a moment to join us and listen to our stories.
